How Long Does It Take To Be Beach Body Ready?

I am off on holiday to the Greek islands and so starts the holiday preparation to get beach body ready, which for a woman can be lengthy and laborious.

Very often this means we women have to spend at least three hours in our bathroom or at a beauty salon. There is a lot of exfoliating, buffing, filing and extracting that needs to go on before we are ready to reveal our body to other holidaymakers.

Grace and I have discussed it all in our video below. Please be warned – I reveal a new beauty routine that I have adopted more recently that may make you grab the volume control….be prepared!

I have also listed below some of the best products that I have tried and liked in my quest to be beach body ready for my next holiday.

So let’s start at the top:

Hair: A good cut and some highlights are my tip however if you have long and thick, naturally gorgeous coloured hair without a grey hair in sight then no need but I don’t so I keep my hair short with some lowlights (to camouflage the grey) I take my own hair shampoo as I use Hairstory New Wash which is chemical free and there is no need for conditioner.

Eyebrows: Shape and tint (again to get rid of those pesky grey ones) If you find a good beautician who can shape eyebrows well then lock her up as they are few and far between. I have seen so many disasters just amongst my girlfriends so there are definitely some butchers out there.

Eyelashes: If you can get them tinted and curled with an LVL treatment as then you won’t need eye make-up as your eyes will pop!
LVL is the revolutionary lash phenomenon that reveals your natural lashes in all their glory. With a tan you won’t need any extra help as your eyes will look so much brighter and larger. To find a salon near you click HERE.

Pedicure and Manicure: Nail varnish from Nailberry because it is paraben free and comes in some deliciously sunny colours.

Skin Exfoliator: This Works Natural Scrub – A buttery exfoliating balm with Pink Himalayan Salt and uplifting essential oils for a natural body glow.

Fake Tan: I am a Skinny Tan person as the Tan & Tone Oil, which comes in a spray form, WORKS. No smell, no streaking, not sure if the guarana firms my limbs but a tan definitely makes them look better. Simply spritz, glow and go.

A budget tip that I learned from a beauty editor is St. Moriz Self-tanning products which she bought in Boots at the airport and loved it, especially the price, about £4.99.

So now that I am beach body ready I am off to attack the packing which is my absolute horror as I always take the wrong things and wish I had brought less or maybe more of the right clothes. I always pack my trainers and some gym gear as I firmly believe I am going to some exercise but I never do and after 60 years you would think I would learn!
