Stories
Sometimes in life it does us the world of good to just stop for a moment, settle down with a nice cup of tea or coffee and take some time out to be inspired, entertained or educated.
Our Stories section does just that with short, bite-size reads from Annabel, Grace and a whole team of contributors covering a myriad of different subjects from the serious to the downright daft and all aimed at our marvellously mature audience of ladies over 50.
We love discovering new products, sharing personal experiences and laughing at how absurd life can sometimes be! Our Backpacking Granny shares hilarious travel stories while Border Belle brings us tales from the Scottish Borders of making new friends, lockdown lessons and being a ‘late adopter’ when it comes to technology. Bumble loves to share reviews on the latest beauty products on the market for older skin and delicious recipes, while Lesley is a psychotherapist specialising in midlife transitions, health wellness and weight management issues who writes beautifully insightful pieces like Looking after your mental health: coping, accepting and adapting to change.
Louloulapomme brings us a taste of France from her B&B, finding humour in all situations, even negotiating with her uninvited visitor, Elvis the rat! Marvellous Mother-in-law shares her story of carving out a new life after losing her husband eight years ago while Miranda shares her sense of humour whilst dividing her time between London and Sri Lanka. Page Turner’s book reviews are a joy to read and give the perfect five-minute taster to your next bedtime tome or holiday read. Sassy is our super singleton, who sees the funny side of life post-divorce while Zeynep‘s positivity about emigrating to Turkey is positively contagious!
So why not make a cup of tea and take five to read a couple of them and let us know your comments at the footer of the page…
