NEW IN – Colourful Shoes: Step Out With Confidence

June 8, 2021

This article was written for Annabel & Grace, which is now part of Rest Less.

The older I get, the more I love colourful shoes. One of my current favourite outfits is a navy jumpsuit which I wear with bright red loafers. And I have rather large feet – depending on the brand anything from a size 8 to a size 9. So you’d think I would want to disguise them not show them off. But stand-out shoes make us feel a bit more youthful – as if we’re saying to the world “Hey, I’m not dead yet.” So, here’s a selection of some of the latest designs available online… just click on any photo for more info.

Grosgrain Caged Mules £65

As I say, colourful shoes are definitely an accessory you should consider. They make a change from reaching for safer colours like brown, black and navy. And by colourful I don’t necessarily mean bright pink or red. Pastel colours, like these on-trend lilac mules with their cylindrical heel from Charles & Keith have equal impact. MORE INFO

Pure 2 Mule Mint Leather £79

When I was young, about a hundred years ago, my mother would always take me to Clarks to buy me shoes. I seem to remember the styles on offer were rather ‘worthy’ but hey things have changed.

Take these slip on Pure 2 Mules for example, which are contemporary and chic. With a tapered square toe in mint leather and a classic snaffle, they have a super slim sole, Cushion Plus™ technology, breathable linings (ideal if you like to go barefoot) and 1cm heel.

Currently 50% off – £39.50. Also available in White Ostrich, Black and Navy. MORE INFO

Summer Denim Chuck Taylor All Star Dainty Mule £57

I have recently fallen in love with powder blue – both when decorating my bedroom and the lightweight jumper I have just bought. Loving these backless slip on trainers, ideal if you’re not keen on laces and like to kick off your shoes every now and again. From Converse, a brand that is more commonly associated with bright young things, we older gals can find wearable styles too. MORE INFO
