What Treatment do all the top Dermatologists Love?

When you splash out a large sum of cash on a beauty product (and I mean around the £300 mark), you have to:
a) Have done a large amount of research on it
b) Know exactly what you are buying and the results you can realistically expect from using it
c) Promise yourself that you can justify the considered purchase by using it … a lot!

I am not one for getting facials regularly. I am always concerned that an overload of products at one time may upset my skin and frankly I have greater beauty priorities to have to book – brow maintenance, pedicure (so important), hair colour/ cut – need I continue 🙄.

However, at 58. I genuinely felt that I needed something to improve my skin tone and texture, which is often quite ‘red’ around the cheek and nose area.  I read about and saw positive reviews on social media about a light therapy mask that used the same gold standard Omniluxtechnology that is used by doctors and salons. I was very interested to know more, and most importantly, if it would work for me and fit into my daily routine without having to leave the house.

How the CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask works

The device combines RED and near INFRA-RED LIGHT. Combined at the perfect measurement to rejuvenate the skin, these two wavelengths work below the skin’s surface to stimulate the natural rejuvenation process. The Red Light stimulates the production of new collagen, calms redness and creates an even skin tone. Near Infra-Red works beneath the skin’s surface. Penetrating deep in to the skin’s surface it boosts circulation, improves blood flow and boosts oxygen to the skin’s cells. Together, they work in harmony to stimulate and create newer fresher-looking skin, most importantly improving texture, firmness and tightness.

Why I chose this brand

I chose the CurrentBody system because of its soft and flexible design as opposed to the hard shell type. It’s made from flexible silicone that wraps perfectly around the face, meaning the light can penetrate every area of the skin. It’s got lots of high quality lights, automatic 10 minute timer, portable rechargeable power pack and a lead long enough to tuck into a pocket if you want to get on with tasks whilst wearing it. It’s simple to operate and easy to wear.

You are advised to use the device 3 to 5 times a week, which I started doing at the end of February. Whilst in this Covid19 lockdown, I have been using it every day (what else is there to do?) and during the 10 minutes I prefer to close my eyes and have my own ‘quiet time’. I have in fact just begun to use it on my neck and décolleté which can very easily be done whilst watching TV or reading. It was on special offer at the time of purchase and less expensive than another brand that does exactly the same thing.

Most importantly … the results

I am a huge fan. It’s painless, suits everyone and has cumulative benefits. The more you use it, the better the results… and the results are very real.
It has definitely reduced the inflammation in my skin. It has given me a more even, brighter skin tone. Because it is generating new collagen and elastin, it is helping with wrinkle reduction – small ones …. not the ‘ditches’! It has improved the hydration of my skin.

All the top dermatologists love LED light therapy. I shall keep using it because I know how beneficial it is and categorically don’t want to lose those benefits.

Without doubt, it has improved my ‘older’ skin.
