This fashion article is for those of us who spend a good deal of our time at home, dog walking, looking after adored grandchildren or making (yet another) trip to the local supermarket. In other words, if you’re looking for some everyday style, you’ve landed in the right place. I’ve handpicked some casual clothing in which you can feel comfortable the entire day while looking good in an effortless way.
Annabel and I are always advocating a pop of colour, so this pull on orange crepe longline jacket fits the bill perfectly. Worn here with an on-trend slogan tee and perennially stylish white leather slip ons. These wide fitting loafers come with specially designed insoles for comfortable feet. The sizes are generous btw.
Now a special mention for the trousers. This particular style has proved to be a big hit with both Annabel and I for so many reasons. They are well cut, have just the right amount of stretch, give you a slim silhouette helped by the Magisculpt panel insert, have an invisible stretch waistband and are machine washable. The perfect dress up / dress down trouser in fact. Get them in every colour!
Bonjour pop art slogan t-shirt £16
Everyday Kate slim leg trouser £35 Petite, regular & tall.
Multifit white loafers. Sizes 4 – 9.
This flattering V neck embroidered tunic is a clever choice whatever your size or shape. Available in sizes 12 – 32, you’ll find adjustable lacing at the back, so it can be worn either loose or semi fitted, depending on your mood. The fit is generous but very flattering. I can imagine choosing to wear this when the weather hots up…
New in, these premium Shape & Sculpt straight-leg jeans are, quite simply, brilliant. The multidirectional stretch denim and hidden Magisculpt tummy panel gave me shape without restriction. Loving the high rise waistline too. Super comfortable.
You might also enjoy wearing these wedge slingback espadrilles as much as I did – they give you a little extra height but are as easy to wear as flats. Apart from the navy ones I’m wearing above, they also are available in black, gold and orange.
Embroidered Together Skinny jeans £45 (with pretty embroidery at ankles)
Some iconic pieces bridge the generation gap and a denim jacket is one of them. Looks brilliant with an equally on trend midi dress, crisp white shirt, slogan tee – luckily, more or less anything!
- Collarless zip front denim jacket £35
- Leather double bar footbed mule sandals £30
- White shirt – my own
