A fabulous new jewellery brand, ANA LUISA, that ticks all boxes

Grace and I have recently found a conscious, transparent, and carbon-neutral jewellery brand at affordable prices. It is called Ana Luisa, and all the pieces you see on their website are made in limited-run small batches and designed in their New York office.

Check out Ana Luisa ❤️ HERE.

The goal of Ana Luisa is to enjoy and celebrate the beauty of the earth without leaving a trace, so all the materials they use are ethically sourced, including their gold, which is 100% recycled.

THEIR MATERIALS

GOLD PLATED BRASS

Gold plating is the process of adding a thick layer of gold onto the surface of another metal. Ana Luisa decided to use brass as their base metal and thicker-than-ordinary platings for all of their plated jewellery so they can offer a 365-day warranty.

Plated pieces can be prone to oxidation if not correctly taken care of. However, you can use a polishing cloth to restore your piece’s shine and make your beautiful gold-plated jewellery as good as news.

STERLING SILVER

Sterling Silver has been used in fine jewellery since the 12th century, so Ana Luisa keeps the tradition alive. They only use 100% recycled sterling silver made of 93.5% pure Silver to match their pieces’ highest standards.

OUR EXPERIENCE

Grace and I both ordered a couple of pieces, and they arrived within days, each one in its little cotton pouch. I have to admit that I am usually a silver girl because it is more reasonably priced, and whilst Ana Luisa makes a few silver pieces, the gold range is so affordable it is hard to resist. Also, my experience is that my pale skin does get a little sun-kissed during the summer to carry gold.

My daughters love to layer their jewellery using different length pieces, and the overall effect is very stylish. Of course, they can be worn on their own. However, once you own a few pieces from Ana Luisa, you won’t be able to decide which one to wear each day, so why not layer. I don’t think this fashion is exclusively for the young.

Anyway, Grace and I got into the whole layered look. As it so pretty especially in the summer.

The picture on the left is the shorter one, the ALYSSA (£100) and the longer ones, the BLAKE (£59.20).

Next, we each chose a piece with stones. My choice was the CUORE (£59.20) with diamanté, which sat so perfectly and again, it is such a delicate looking piece. This pretty open heart necklace features a classic heart outline with pave cubic zirconia gems for a beautifully feminine touch to your look. I could easily combine it with the BLAKE longer chain.

Grace chose the MEESH (£65.60) with a green Aventurine in a bezel setting. The Meesh is one of the pieces that are from a collaboration with the designer Michelle Choi. You can buy matching earrings for this piece.

CARE

Use a soft cloth to clean your silver piece. To minimise scratches and other damages, store your piece in the pouch that Ana Luisa provides or in a separate compartment in your jewellery box. There are more care instructions on the Ana Luisa website.

We have only mentioned the Ana Luisa necklaces; however, they also sell a beautiful range of earrings, rings and bracelets. So if you are looking for a present for your daughters, goddaughters, girlfriends or yourself, you will be spoilt for choice on the Ana Luisa website – click HERE to have a browse.
