This September, the Joy Club are highlighting and celebrating conservation efforts across our events and daily content. In addition to our regular programme of fitness classes and creative workshops, members can expect art classes themed around nature as well as fascinating talks from the Marine Conservation Society and climate activist Tom Hunt (to name just a few). We have over 100 live, interactive events to enjoy each and every month, so read on for some of our recommendations for things to look out for this September…

Nature drawing with Jane

Friday 9th September at 9.30am

Relax in this therapeutic drawing session where member and retired art teacher Jane will lead you through the meditative process of drawing nature. The session’s goal is to be mindful during the process rather than focusing on your final product. All abilities are welcome.

Tips and tricks to cutting your carbon footprint

Find out how to measure your individual carbon footprint and pick up top tips on how to immediately reduce your impact on the planet in this session run by Earthology founder Sarah Blake. In the short-term, their planet-positive actions will also save you time and money – what’s not to like?

Q&A with Tom Hunt: chef, author and climate activist

Come and celebrate sustainability with us by welcoming award-winning chef, writer and climate change campaigner Tom Hunt. This live Q&A will include a 45-minute interview with Tom, exploring his work in the world of food and the environment, followed by 15-minutes for you to ask questions of your own.
