Discover beautiful woodlands and truly wild spaces with Walk Wild
If you’re keen to get out and about in nature, why not try a guided walk with Walk Wild? Explore wild chalk rivers, ancient woodlands and rolling hills. Choose from six guided walks within easy reach of London, including Epping Forest and Mimram Valley and many more! These walks are available to the general public, so it will be an opportunity for our members to socialise and spend some time with fellow walkers of all ages.
Motivational workshops with personal development coach, Kathy Feest
Members are invited to join a talk with a fellow member and all-round joy enthusiast, Kathy Feest! We’ve asked Kathy to host a series of three workshops designed to inspire you to think about your own life and to equip you with practical ways to move forward. Kathy has a wealth of experience with writing, leadership and personal development practitioning. The sessions will focus on rediscovering your desires (Thu 13th May, 11 am-12 pm), acknowledging your experiences of being empowered and productive (Thu 27th May, 11 am-12 pm) and uncovering your pathway to action (Thu 3rd June, 11 am-12 pm). Members are welcome to join one, some or all of these workshops.
Take part in a Face Yoga class with Lisa Barrett
Lisa Barrett was a beauty editor and a writer at women’s magazines for many years.
During lockdown, she fell in love with Face Yoga – a holistic method, which brings together acupressure and facial muscle toning exercises – and decided to train as an instructor. Face Yoga is a long-term practice – by consistently taking part in daily ‘workouts’ using Lisa’s techniques, wrinkles can soften and relax over time as the underlying muscles are toned – giving the face a lift. Lisa is hosting a free class for our members on 14th May, 11am. After the class there will be time to chat, meet other members and give feedback on the class.
To stress or not to stress with Valentina Cartago
Valentina Cartago – a registered Nutritional Therapist – is leading a talk and Q&A about the dangers of stress and methods for combating it, exclusively for our members. She will talk about different types of stressors, brain healthy foods and other proactive steps to take to decrease stress levels and improve wellbeing for brain and body. The talk is on 28th May, 11am-12pm, and is aimed at those interested in understanding the impact of stress on physical and mental health.
There’s plenty more to discover, unlock and enjoy at The Joy Club. If you’re not already a member you can sign up and enjoy three months’ free membership (just for Annabel & Grace readers) by using promo code A&GNY21JOY. Redeemable until June 30th 2021.
