Me+Em Autumn Winter collection review by 2 women over 50

Grace and I always love visiting Me+Em to view their new collections and this season was no exception. The Me+Em Autumn Winter collection is an absolute winner. Clare Hornby is definitely brilliant at designing clothes that are feminine whilst also flattering womens’ bodies. All of the Me+Em clothes are extremely well-made using high quality fabrics and incorporating detailed touches. I would call them wardrobe cornerstones. Of course the clothes are not cheap but as wardrobe staples they will work for many seasons if you choose carefully.

I have a pair of Me+Em navy cropped trousers that I have had for 4 years that I wear to death. This year they have updated this style with a double satin side stripe. When a style works and is popular, Me+Em will update it with small but meticulous changes to the design. I know when my navy trousers have worn out I will want to get a replacement as they are my go-to-wear-anywhere trousers. I will always go to Me+Em as I need look nowhere else – the fit is perfect, the quality superb and they do not become misshapen with wear. I always feel well-dressed and confident in my Me+Em pieces.

So Grace and I went to the Me+Em shop in New Cavendish Street, London for a styling session with Zoe. Zoe is their in-store stylist and can be booked for such a session at any one of their five London locations by contacting Zoe Zipper by email at [email protected]. Private hours can be arranged. These sessions are for free and there is no obligation to purchase anything however I doubt you will be able to resist.

We found a morning with Zoe was invaluable as she encouraged us to step out of our comfort zone dress style and try new looks. All the staff at Me+Em shops are so welcoming and not at all intimidating as in some other shops. Whilst we were there we saw many women of our age shopping the new collection.
