Kitchen show and tell

March 18, 2017

This article was written for Annabel & Grace, which is now part of Rest Less.

Do you remember Show and Tell at school? Taking items to school relating to one subject or a letter of the alphabet? Anyway that was a long time ago and now Grace and I have decided to do our own grown-up version featuring our top products from rooms or areas of our life. We will feature these in a video so you can see that they really are products that we use regularly. We have started with the kitchen as it is, for many of us, the room we spend most time in. My kids, whenever they return home, like to walk in the back door and see me in the kitchen otherwise their world is not in order!! Please do let us know your favourite items so that we can share them in future Show and Tells. Have a look at our video:

This e-cloth is a workhorse. It washes in the machine so it can last for a very long time. We both have one permanently hanging by our sink.

Washing-up liquid Tincture £7.50

A recent discovery by CountryWives. This company, Tincture London, produces a range of 100% natural cleaning products. I love the washing-up liquid which is made from carefully selected active botanical oils including sage, thyme and laurel leaf increase. The fragrance is divine and makes washing-up pleasurable.

This ‘sticky’ tray, from Joseph Joseph, is particularly useful when taking glasses outside for a summer lunch in the garden.

Chuck away all your loo brushes and use a Duck Fresh Brush an hygienic and simple way to scrub your loo.

show-and-tellMagimix Pixie Aluminium Nespresso Coffee Maker – love this compact little machine. A real hardworker, never lets you down. Just flip up the base if you’d like to use a larger mug. Easy to fill water container and just lift handle and used coffee capsule automatically pops into the dispenser.

show-and-tellIkea roasting tins – from a stupendously cheap £3.75. Considering they last so long (I have had mine for over 10 years), clean up so well and are excellent quality – all I can say is well done Ikea!
