Grace and Annabel, as you may know, are firm fans of Fitflop shoes and the CountryWives have certainly converted me. In fact I have been spreading the gospel all summer.
Surprisingly, I didn’t immediately think of Fitflop when looking for a new pair of everyday comfy boots. I wanted something a smidgen smarter than my usual dog walking, muddy, Dubarrys, but not super smart “ladies who lunch” type boots.
Living in the country, most of my shopping is online (far too easy for the shopaholics amongst us!) so, in the last week or two, a lot of boots have been through my house. Luckily I am best friends with our DPD and Parcelforce drivers and my lovely postman, Austin, even texts me to warn me when he has yet another parcel!
At the time of writing I have six pairs of boots from The Celtic Company (love their Aviator boots by the way, check them out) all waiting to be returned. In fact The Celtic Company have kindly emailed me a couple of Collect Plus labels to make it easier…they know I’ll be back!
My credit card was smoking and I still hadn’t found exactly the right boots. A couple of days ago I thought of Fitflop and sent off for several pairs. Bingo! I have bought the most supercomfortable pair of boots EVER. They are called the Mukluk Shorty II in midnight navy suede. The colour looks wonderful with jeans and navy cords. I feel rather like Zebedee from the Magic Roundabout – on springs!
Still thinking about those Aviator boots…
