When life is busy, it’s all too easy to get caught up in the needs of others and forget to take care of our own. So, this April, The Joy Club is devoting a month to wellbeing and will be running specialist talks and workshops to support your health and wellness.

They will encourage you to devote some time to yourself – and what better way to do that than by booking yourself in for an uplifting Laughter therapy session or putting aside Time to talk with The Joy Club member and counsellor, Jen.

Time to Talk Day is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. Happening every year, it’s a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives. The Joy Club member and counsellor, Jen, will be your host. Come along with the intention to share. We know the more conversations we have, the better life is for everyone. Talking about mental health isn’t always easy, but a conversation has the power to change lives.

The food we eat makes a huge difference to the way we feel; cooking hearty food that’s full of goodness is a great way to improve our mental health. Preparing meals is also a good way to slow down and be present in the process of nourishing our bodies.

Why are there never enough hours in the day? The things you want to do, the places you’d like to go, the activities you want to try, even The Joy Club sessions you’d love to attend – somehow they come second, after you’ve put everyone else first, which means there’s never enough time for you. Life and positive psychology coach Gabrielle will take you through the (often hidden) reasons why time feels so scarce, why having more time for yourself matters and how you can make that happen.
