I’ve been going through a particularly stressful time over the last few months. You know the type of thing – it never rains but it pours. And now there is Covid-19 for all of us to try and deal with. Well, despite doing my best to keep upbeat and positive, I have noticed that my complexion has definitely suffered. It looks tired, patchy, uneven, more wrinkly than usual. Well, at 67 I shouldn’t really expect anything else! So, like most of us in these troubled times, some TLC is called for. I’ve been testing a new skincare brand called Volition which you might find interesting.

These are the products I am using at the moment. Obviously my skin is different from yours, but I’m pleased with the way my complexion seems to be bouncing back a bit.
Apple cider vinegar resurfacing peel pads
These little pads are very easy to use. Yes, your skin smells of vinegar but it’s temporary. Rather like the pleasant tingling feeling you get once applied. I like that my complexion feels tightened and that I have a clean base to then put on some serum.
Snow Mushroom Water Serum
The texture of this serum is quite viscous and definitely I found it comforting. Absolutely no smell of mushrooms, snow or otherwise! Comes with a handy dropper that dispenses just the right amount (not always the case with droppers I have found in the past) A little goes a long way.
Hibiscus Unspottable Correcting Oil
The second I applied this luscious oil to my skin, I was transported to a luxury spa. Not only because of the fabulously calming fragrance, but because of the texture. I was particularly interested in this Correcting Oil because I have recently noticed the beginnings of a couple of brown age spots on my face. Fingers crossed this correcting oil will, over time, help to minimise those.
